Linux is installed in a desktop which I build myself about 12 years ago as a hobby with top quality parts (ASUS P5K3 Deluxe MB, Intel Core 2Duo 3.0GHz, 6GB DDR3 RAM, and 2 HD, 160GB and 80GB). I know there is a utility (think it’s called Timeshift?) which takes snapshots of my files but that will give me nothing since when I reboot I see no boot menu related to Linux, I can go to the boot menu of my Desktop but in the boot section my only choice to boot from are my 2 hard disks.

However in Linux I have not been able to find something similar. In Windows 10 I use the Macrium Reflect backup program which along with a Bart PE rescue DVD I can restore my Windows in under 10 minutes.

The Revo Uninstaller is tempting but with my limited experience in Linux based OS so far I will wait.
